Anna Bell McGrath '98
Soccer, Basketball, Lacrosse, Softball
  • 3 year Varsity Basketball player; named Captain Jr & Sr years
  • Lead the Rebels to the Final Four Jr and Sr seasons.
  • Selected to the All-Tourney team, All-State Squad and VT Alhambra team.
  • Named All-Metro team at 1st base in Softball
  • Awarded the Special Athletic Council Award
  • Anna went on to play college Basketball where she scored over 1,000 points

Sean M. Benoit '89
Football, Basketball, Baseball
  • Sean was named All-League and All-State at 2 positions, 2 years in a row
  • Selected to the Shrine team and named USA Today's runner up Player of the Year in Vermont
  • In Basketball Sean started every one of the 67 Varsity games during his 3 years as a Rebel
  • Named to the Alhambra team and Metro Player of the Year
  • In Baseball Sean was a dominant pitcher and hitter. Named 1st team All-State.
  • Received Metro division Pitcher of the Year Award
  • Named runner up Vermont Athlete of the year by USA Today
  • Awarded the SB Kiwanis Award for Outstanding Male Athlete
  • Sean went on to play all 3 sports at the Division I level in college

Tom Breen '72
Football, Alpine Skiing, Baseball

  • Member of 4 State Championship teams; 2 in football and 2 in baseball
  • Captain in Football and named 1st team All-North and All-State
  • 4 Letter winner in Alpine Skiing
  • Named 1st team All-Sate both Junior and Senior years in Baseball
  • Tom went on to play football in college

Erickson Davis '97
Football, Soccer, Basketball, Baseball
  • 3 year Varsity letter winner in Soccer and named Captain his Sr year
  • Named 1st team All-Metro and All-State
  • Erick also became the place kicker for the football team for 2 years
  • 3 year Varsity letter winner in Basketball and named Captain his Sr. year
  • Named Team MVP and All-Conference 2nd team
  • In Baseball a 2 year starter at 3rd base
  • Awarded the SB Kiwanis Award for Outstanding Male Athlete
  • Erick went on to play Division I soccer in college

Kristine Gay Clark '80
Field Hockey, Basketball, Softball
  • Leading scorer for the Rebels in Basketball Jr and Sr years
  • Named to the National HS Athletic Coaches All-Star team, Converse All-American team and Converse Prep All-American team
  • 3 year Varsity starter on the Softball diamond
  • Awarded the Special Athletic Council Award
  • Kris went on to play Basketball and Softball in college and is a member of the Vermont State College Hall of Fame.

Laura Howley '93
Gymnastics, Track & Field
  • Winner of 3 Vermont Individual All-Around State titles in Gymnastics
  • Member of the Rebel Gymnastic Dynasty with 4 undefeated seasons and 4 consecutive Vermont State Championship titles
  • Top three finisher in regular season and district competition for the track team in Triple Jump
  • Laura went on to compete in D III college gymnastics and placed 3rd in Nationals

Barbara R. Jordan - Coach 1969-1979
Cheerleading, Rebelettes, Gymnastics
  • Coached 2 VT State Championship teams in Gymnastics, one of them being SB's 1st Girl's State Championship in any sport
  • Coach Jordan's had an 80% winning record over 10 years in Gymnastics
  • Before Title IX became the standard, activities for HS girls were limited, Barb organized the 1st Dance and Drill team at SB called the Rebelettes
  • In 1972 Barb also became the SB Cheerleading Coach
  • After coaching Barb went on to become a US National Champion in many track events and has been inducted in to the USA Track and Field Masters Hall of Fame

Molly O'Donovan Dix '85
Soccer, Nordic Skiing, Track & Field
  • A 12 Varsity Letter Rebel Athlete
  • Named Captain in all 3 sports her Senior year
  • Named to the Vermont All-State team and selected to the VT Twin State Soccer team
  • Qualified for States in Nordic Skiing and was a member of a SB State Championship team, Molly also competed at the New England level
  • Molly went on to play soccer in college and won back to back Div III National Titles

Kevin R. Ray '74
Football, Basketball, Baseball, Track & Field
  • One of the finest blockers on the offensive line and led the team in tackles as a linebacker
  • Selected to the All-State Football team and Shrine team
  • In Basketball Kevin was a member of SB's 1st team to reach the Division I Semi -Final game
  • Named Captain of the Track team as a Senior
  • Awarded the Boosters Sportsmanship Award
  • Kevin went on to play football at the collegiate level


Annie Reed Spencer '86
Field Hockey, Basketball, Softball
  • Named Captain of all 3 sports as well as Captain of the Vermont Twin State Field Hockey team
  • A starter on the Field Hockey team and winner of back-to-back State Championships
  • Named to the Metro All-Star team, the Vermont All-Star team and VT/NH Twin State game.
  • Named Vermont Field Hockey Player of the Year
  • A member of the undefeated and State Championship Basketball team.
  • Named to the All-Metro and All-Star team in Softball
  • Annie also coached Field Hockey at SB from 1988-1990
